I’ve been living in the Caribbean since 2013 and have lived in Barbados, Aruba and now am living in St Lucia.
Living in the Caribbean is my second continent outside my place of birth and it’s such a different experience to my first that I thought I would share what it is like living on an island. Living and holidaying abroad is just so different which I first learnt from my first move to Dubai.
Living abroad has it’s own challenges from the weekly supermarket shop to knowing the shortest route to the best beach. The biggest challenge for me in moving to an island was adapting from a fast paced city life to island life. They are two completely different worlds that it can take a while to adapt. 9 years in and I am now becoming island girl with nothing fazing me! However, the beautiful beaches, sunsets and glorious rum helps the transition!
